Polestar has many ways of coming to visit. You can experience Polestar as part of a custom designed or personal retreat; or to attend one of the many unique and dynamic programs we already offer. We have hosted innumerable private and public school groups, offering service learning, yoga, and all the island adventures, along with many other educational and cultural activities. Our facilities are also made available to various teachers for yoga trainings, music and other educational workshops. Please contact us for more information.
Self-Designed Retreat
You can design you
r own personal retreat / vacation. For all our programs, we encourage guests to participate in the daily life of the community to whatever extent they feel inspired to do so. We have ongoing meditation, yoga, kirtans, service projects, social events and recreational outings that you are welcome to participate in as your schedule allows. Many visitors find a deeply rejuvenating vacation through a balance of sight-seeing and spiritual practice, service and relaxation.
We are situated on 20 beautiful acres about a 30 minute drive south of Hilo (on the Big Island) and a ten minute drive to the water. Accommodations include everything from tent camping, to single and double occupanc
y rooms, to private apartments. You will have full access to the spacious common room and kitchen, yoga temple, spiritual library, internet access, beautiful grounds, orchard and large garden. Our daily diet includes the many fresh vegetables and fruits grown organically right in our own Gardens.

There are many wonderful adventures, parks and beaches to explore on the Big Island: waterfalls, steam vents, lava hikes, black sand beaches, and more.
Volcano National Park, the most visited park in all the islands, is less than an hour away. Nearby Pahoa Town has several excellent restaurants, shopping, library and a great, free public swimming pool. Hilo is half an hour's drive and the second most populated city in Hawaii. It has many museums, parks, beaches and a lovely downtown with shops and a vibrant farmers market. And there are lots of other amazing adventures here on the Big Island.

Italy and the founder of Awakening Arts, an international network of artists committed to the creation of art that is inspiring and transformative.
